Infinite Campus Junior High Elective Selection
Infinite Campus is the student information system (SIS) used at the Nevada campuses of Legacy Traditional Schools. You will use your parent portal, called “Campus Parent,” throughout the year to review your student’s grades and assignments, communicate with your student’s teacher(s), choose junior high electives, and complete re-enrollment for the next school year.
Instructions
Log in to Campus Parent, your parent portal in Infinite Campus:
- Existing families - you should already have your login information.
- New Legacy families - your campus registrar recently sent you your login information.
- If you do not have your login information, please contact your campus registrar.
From the main screen, select More.
If you have multiple students attending Legacy, select your junior high student from the dropdown.
- Select the arrow next to the listed student.
- Choose the correct student from the dropdown.
Select the arrow on the upcoming school year in the Course Registration Enrollments box.
The next screen will show you the required core classes your child will be scheduled in and the remaining number of units they need to take.
- 20 units are allotted to their core academic classes.
-
The number of credits listed will indicate if the class is a semester-long or year-long elective:
- Semester (2 quarters) = 2 units
- Year (4 quarters) = 4 units
At the bottom of the screen select Add Course.
A new screen will pop up with the elective options for your campus.
- The number of credits/units allocated to each class is listed next to it.
-
To view the course description, select the arrow next to the course name.
- If your student has already taken the course, you will see a course history listed below the course description.
-
If you want to choose that course, you can add it directly from the bottom by selecting Add Request or Add Alternate.
Select Back to return to the list of electives.
Select the plus sign to add an elective.
- Request - this is for the first choice your student wants.
- Alternate - if your first choice is unavailable, we will move on to alternate options.
If you change your mind and want to remove an elective, select the red X, then select Delete.
Once you’ve made your top choices (requests), choose your alternates.
When you’re done, your screen should look like this:
You can change your student’s electives anytime during the open selection period. Once the open selection period has ended, you cannot make changes.
